DOUGLAS RICHARD, P.E.

Douglas Richard graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from Florida Atlantic University in 2010. He spent the first four years of his career as a project Engineer with AECOM, specializing in Quality Assurance and Quality Control. From there, he took on a QC manager role with SKANKSA, building the very complex Frost Museum of Science, where a failing project was successfully turned around.

In January 2015, he joined Specialty Engineering as the head of Quality Control and the Director of Field Operations. Along with managing the field, Doug has taken the quality control side of the company to a new level, helping add and manage SPECPRO post tension documentation, infrared filled cell sounding, as well as many other up and coming techniques to assure the final product meets plans and specifications. Doug has taken the lead and brought to successful completion several high rises, mid rises and single family home communities.

Doug received his P.E. license in March 2016 and since has taught PE exam prep courses in construction engineering for the Florida Engineering Society. He is always looking to expand his knowledge and is a firm believer in hard work and doing things the right way.
